LATEST2 - Light Alloys Towards Environmentally Sustainable Transport 2

The LATEST2 Team

The LATEST2 multidisciplinary research team is drawn from the School’s Corrosion and Protection, Materials Science and the Materials Performance Centres. Collectively the team has extensive experience of processing, modelling, microstructure and texture control, surface engineering, corrosion control, joining and forming of light alloys and related materials for transport applications.

The LATEST2 Team comprises leading academic investigators, supported by post doctoral researchers, post graduate research students, specialist electron microscopists and technicians. The Team is further supported by fellow researchers within the School of Materials and beyond, enabling new expertise to be drawn in as required.

The research activities of the LATEST2 Team are supported by a Project Manager, Programme Administrative Assistant and Scientific Communication Officer who manage the LATEST2 research and communication activities, and help maintain a high-level of professional engagement with our partners in academia, in industry and across the materials research community.
